September 2026
Dear Fisherfolk,
Summer is just starting to loosen its grip here in Arkansas. We've been in a drought. It's so dry, the trees are bribing the dogs! The grass is brittle and brown. Flowers that once lit our gardens have dried out. This week, it's rained twice! This morning, it was raining while the sun was out. Our low tomorrow morning will be 71! Fall is coming!
September is kind of a light month for us as far as gigs go. On September 18, we're going to be in Tulsa OK at the Trinity Gospel Concert Series with our friends Barton and Sweeney. We stole/borrowed the song Safer Haven from them! September 24th we'll be at the Walton Arts Center, in Fayetteville AR, celebrating our 50 years together. It'll be an extravaganza! There'll be an exhibit of our history featuring photos, artwork and memorabilia in the lobby of the theater. We'll be performing songs from all parts of our career. Ticket are selling well! If you're wanting to come out, get them soon. Something else to know is that The Old Friends Reunion festival (my daughter and son-in-law's festival) is also happening that weekend. It's their third festival and it should be great! Visit Old Friend Farms for more information.
Something that holds true for me is that live music is medicine. No matter what the stresses of the day have brought, going to a live show takes me away from that and puts me in a much better mind set. Whether you come to hear us or someone else, music played by real musicians can definitely inject good feelings into your day. Turn your tv off and come out to hear us! We look forward to seeing you soon.
Troutfully yours,
Ezra and Keith
