March 2026

Dear Fisherfolk,
It’s time to write a newsletter. We’re about to head out on the road again. We’ve had an interesting winter off from playing gigs. In that time we’ve completed the recording and mixing of our next album. We’ve spent a lot of time with our families. We’ve also been looking back at the 50 years of playing together. Keith has been going through his house and storage room finding clues to what this time has been. His father’s journals chronicle a lot of our career and provide dates. We have all of our old “snail mail” newsletters that also give a peek into what’s happened. This combing through our past brings up a lot of thought and emotion. He’s finding old pictures, newspaper clippings, matchbooks, t-shirts and other reminders of our history. These finds have made for great conversations and uncovered forgotten memories.
The Sprinter is back from the shop and it’s ready to go. So are we! March begins the new year for us. We’ll start out in League City TX and Dallas TX. It was looking like this would be our last time at Poor David’s Pub in Dallas but rumor has it that the club will continue with the next generation. This will be followed by spring trips to Florida, Pennsylvania and New Mexico. Check out our calendar for specific dates.
As we’ve said, this year makes 50 years that we’ve been writing songs and playing music together. It’s been a long trip. Our new album, One Of These Days, is in the process of being manufactured. When we first started playing music together back in 1976, we never imagined that One Of These Days we could say that we’ve been doing this for 50 years! Well, One Of These Days is here! Well it’s not really here yet, but One Of These Days, (soon) it will be! You can preorder a copy here.
Troutfully yours,
Keith and Ezra
