Dear e-Fisherfolk: There is still some snow left on the ground here in Arkansas. Last week, most of us here in Northwest Arkansas were snowed in. There were those who had chains on their tires. There were those who drove snow plows or road graders. There were those who mistakenly thought four wheel drive would make them immune to the effects of ice. There were also a lot of us who just stayed home to watch the white stuff come down. We fall into that last category. One of the prettiest things you can see after a snow storm like the one we had is the blue that radiates from the snow at night. The second most beautiful thing is to watch the grader clearing your road so you can go re-stock your groceries. Remember, we're from the south. It doesn't take much snow to impress us. We hope you guys getting hammered by snow on the East Coast are safe and warm. Our snow is lightweight in comparison.
Robert and Stretch We've been in the recording studio a lot lately working on two or three projects simultaneously. If you live in Texas, you'll have plenty of chances to hear us and some of the new material in the next couple of months. We'll also be doing a showcase performance in Memphis at the Folk Alliance International conference. And we hear it's warm enough for a trip to Alberta! Either that or we'll get to write another Alberta Postcard song.
