May 2017

Greetings from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival! We’re so excited to be here. We arrived a day early so we could enjoy the sights and sounds of the Crescent City! A few of the artists we’ll get to see include Stevie Wonder, Anders Osborne and Sonny Landreth.  Jazzfest parade

Our Mantra – Enjoy the Journey
After 25 years of nearly unlimited space to live in, Ezra and Karen’s housing situation is an Airstream trailer in Ezra’s sister, Susan’s, back yard. The never ending torrential rains this spring in Arkansas have created a wetlands to squish through on the way to Susan’s house. The Idlets opted out of cooking and indoor plumbing in the trailer. This creates a need to navigate the back yard swamp in the middle of the night to use the indoor facilities of the house. We’re not talking cooking! OK, that might be too much information. The positive

side of this living arrangement is that the trailer is on loan from the Idlet’s good friends, Brian and Belinda, while Karen and Ezra build their new house.

Closing this letter is usually a cheery invitation to come see our shows and enjoy the weather. Just want to say that live music can bring a lot of good to your mental health and well being. Getting out with treasured friends and relatives to enjoy an evening away from scripted entertainment on a screen is good for all of us. Now for the cheery part! The weather is amazing, there’s never been a more important time to enjoy our friends and family, PLUS, we’ve got a brand new CD out! Come out to hear us and buy our new CD!

Troutfully yours,

Keith and Ezra
