Dear Fisherfolk – Trout House in the Estate Sale

Happy New Year 2017! According to the old 2016 Trout calendar, we went into the Trout House studio to begin recording a new CD on January 4. It’s now a year later and we are in the studio putting the finishing touches on mixing our new CD project, “The Strangest Times”. We can’t wait for you to hear it! That’s one thing to look forward to in 2017! Last year, we played shows in 22 of the United States and 1 Canadian Province (Alberta). Our most amazing and ‘diverse’ weekend of the year was the first week in June when we played consecutive nights at the Kerrville Folk Festival as Trout Fishing in America, Dana Louise & the Glorious Birds, and Wheatfield. Never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined that happening. Thanks, Dalis!

Trout House in Estate Sale!
Time moves ahead and some things change. Some things change a lot and in a hurry. The Trout House is moving because the Idlets are moving to West Fork, AR (where cool people like Keith Grimwood and Jack Williams live). Idlet life is being stored in Pods and boxes. Everything must go! A lot will move with them, but many items will be sold in an estate sale on January 21st and 22nd. You should stay tuned for more info (see our calendar) because some Stage Tested Musical equipment and Trout memorabilia will probably be included. While their new house is being built, Ezra and Karen will be living in a borrowed Airstream trailer. Please remember them in your prayers as they have obviously lost their minds!

Yes, time moves ahead. But some things don’t change, at least not yet. This next summer will mark the 41st year of Keith and Ezra playing music and writing songs together. We still love traveling and still love making music. Our travels in January alone will take us to New York, Colorado, New Mexico, California, and Texas. Then in February it’s back to sunny Florida. Of course, Keith will be sporting his new beard. He hasn’t had a beard in 30 years and it looks different than it used to. Some folks are asking when Ezra will grow a beard. The answer is – When he can!

Troutfully yours,

Keith and Ezra
