The “golden years” are defined, at least online, as after 65 years old. Keith and Ezra are rapidly approaching that magic number. It’s getting really close to 40 years that we have been writing songs and playing music together. Aren’t things supposed to slow down when you get older? We don’t know about you, but as we close in on our “golden years”, our lives seem to be expanding and intensifying.
These next couple of months will have Trout Fishing in America and Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds on both coasts, Arkansas and in Texas. If you live in the DC/Virginia area, please make note of our upcoming dates in Bethesda, MD at the AMP by Strathmore, The Tin Pan in Richmond, VA and the Wayne Theater in Waynesboro, VA. We’ve played in and around these venues and would love to see you there and introduce you to the Glorious Birds (Ezra’s daughters band that we get to play in). In fact, we’d love to jam these places full of folks that we know and don’t know. It’ll make it easier to get back to your area. Further on into the summer we make our debut appearance in Spokane, WA at Chateau Rive at the Flour Mill. Bring 40 of your closest friends!
Getting to play music for you all of these years is an amazing thing. We are road dogs that still love to travel. We may make a few more pit stops than we used to. We may leave our homes a little earlier to get to the far away gigs, but we’re still happy to get there and play our music. It’s hard to imagine a better way to spend an evening than going out with your friends and hearing a live performance by folks who love what they do.
