Between now and the end of May, there will just be a few chances to catch us live. We’re going to be spending a lot of time in the studio working on our new album. You will be able to see us however at the Grand Stafford Theater in Bryan, TX April 22 as Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds and on the 23rd, we’ll be there as Trout Fishing in America. We’ll do a special family concert April 22 at 11am at Rudder Theater on the Texas A&M campus benefiting Voices For Children. The Glorious Birds will also be performing in Sarasota, Florida at the Glenridge Performing Arts Center. First time in the area!

Tales From the Road
Airline travel can be stressful. You need to get to the airport in plenty of time to check your baggage and get through security. International air travel adds an extra twist. You have to present your passport and for musicians with equipment, whatever other pertinent papers you may possess. Going through customs can also increase your stress and anxiety. Coming back from Alberta, Canada last week, Ezra and four other random passengers were selected to go through an extra step to get on the plane. We brought our bags in to be sniffed by a friendly German Shepherd. All of our bags checked out OK, but you always wonder if you brushed up against anything that might arouse suspicion. Fortunately, the seasoned travelers that we are, we allowed plenty of time. Once we got through security, customs, and bag check, there was time to eat. In Calgary there are only a few choices for the hungry passenger. There’s Tim Horton’s, (THE Canadian donut shop), the airport lounge, (which sells beer and pre-made sandwiches) and Burger King. At Burger King in the Calgary airport, if you’re feeling stressed, you can order a beer with your Whopper! This is the first Burger King we’ve ever seen with a liquor license! Could this be a trend!?
In light of our present political climate and to possibly spark some interest in our upcoming album, we’re including a rough mix of a new Trout song. Click HERE to stream it.
