January/February 2016

Dear Fisherfolk,

We read in the news where they had around 30 inches of snow over the weekend in New York City. The next sentence of the article was most interesting as it said schools would be open on Monday. What? 2 weeks ago we had 1/4 inch of snow here in Arkansas and schools were closed for 2 days!

Glorious Birds recording in the Trout Studio

It has been cold here, but we have avoided a lot of travel problems associated with winter. We’ve done this by staying at home here in the Trout House studio, recording lots of new music. The first 2 weeks of January we worked on Trout songs. The next 2 weeks we worked on Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds music.

Next week, Craig Calvert is driving up from Austin, TX and we’ll start recording some new Wheatfield songs. We’re going to have to go back to work to get some rest! But recording is a blast with all 3 combinations. The results have been wonderful!

In news of the summer ahead, Trout Fishing in America, Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds, and Wheatfield will all be playing at the Kerrville Folk Festival on the same weekend. It’s an alignment you don’t want to miss.

Troutfully yours,

Keith and Ezra
