Most of you have probably never had the opportunity to drive through the lovely town of Enid, OK. It’s right there on Highway 412, which travels the entire east/west length of Oklahoma. For years, we have felt that Enid has missed a bet by not using the obvious palindrome, DINE ENID as a town slogan. On our last trip through Enid, we decided to do just that. We decided to DINE ENID and we found a gem! Cafe Garcia is located at 324 Grand in Enid, OK. This delightful Mexican food restaurant has a fabulous salsa bar with 7 different varieties of salsa. The food is great and so are the prices. Cafe Garcia is conveniently located about 2 blocks off of 412 (check your GPS). We’re not sure it’s worth a trip all the way to Oklahoma just to dine here, but if you ever find yourself passing through Enid some day, you’ll know what to do. DINE ENID.
It’s almost Revel Time! The Red River Revel in Shreveport, LA is celebrating 40 years and has been a Trout favorite since the 80’s. It comes in early October and pretty much marks the end of the outdoor festival season. This year, we’ll be playing the Revel twice as Trout Fishing in America and once with Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds. In case you don’t already know, Dana Louise is Ezra’s daughter. She and her band, the Glorious Birds, have been causing quite a stir in the music world these days. Many of our upcoming shows feature a ‘double bill’ of Trout and the Glorious Birds. You really don’t want to miss these shows. It’s a treat you will be sure to enjoy. (Photo above by Dave Hensley from the Barndance)
