Cozy Cat

Keith writing – Help me! Help me! I’ve been iced and snowed in for 4 days with 9 cats! I know you folks in the Northeast rightfully have little or no sympathy for me. You may have had a ton of snow, but do you have 9 cats to go with it? Cats do not behave well forced to live together in close quarters for extended times. They’ve done just about every bad thing they can think of, including breaking into the cabinet and eating up my tortillas. At least I have an ample supply of kitty litter this time. I won’t make that mistake again. Shelia made the biggest mess clearing the shelf to make a nice cozy space for herself.

I’d like to bring your attention to Saturday, March 14. This is the day of Pi. On that fine Saturday, it will be 3.14.15. At 9:26am it will be 3.1415926! I’m not sure what it means. Probably no comets, plague of locusts, or another end of the world. But on 3.14.15 at 9:26 AM, I’m planning on having a slice of pie for breakfast. Got milk?

Ezra writing – Iced and snowed in with a cozy fire and lots of time in the recording studio. Time to work with my daughter, Dana Louise, and time to think about our recent trip to the Folk Alliance International. The music has been fun and the people I’ve met we’re inspirational. Got to meet and hear Canadian astronaut, Chris Hadfield. He spoke about space and music as well as the deeper implications of both. Got to Jam with some amazing musicians including Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds.

Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds

Keith and I are the rhythm section for that band. Somewhere in the middle of all this ice and snow, we got a beautiful day to shoot some video outdoors as the Glorious Birds. Check it out! That’s Dana wearing my pants from high school! Could it be that the main difference between Keith’s and my snow experience is cat’s?

Troutfully yours,

Keith and Ezra
