December 2007

Dear e-Fisherfolk:

Here it is, another perfect day in Arkansas. The sun is shining brightly and the air is crisp and cool. Ezra has had several cups of coffee and is in a far too fabulous mood. Keith is trying to figure out how the Idlets can have 300 people over for Thanksgiving week and still end up with a house that is cleaner than the Grimwoods. The best explanation is 13 cats. Cats are just messier than people when it comes to talking turkey. We truly did have a lovely Thanksgiving celebration with friends and family coming from all over the country. Lots of good music, lots of great food!

We’d like to congratulate NASA commander Pam Melroy on her successful space shuttle mission. Pam has carried our music with her on previous flights and we have pictures to prove it! Go to the News page on our site or click here http://m1e.net/c?9994605-9YXi4IwiTNvBY%402934816-up5OI/2rv4s6Y . Astronauts have always been heroes to both of us and we get pretty excited knowing that our music has a place in space. We’re very proud to count Pam as a friend and Trout fan.

We’re moving into December, the final month of 2007. This is Keith’s favorite time as he has a chance to tabulate and reflect on the places we’ve been and the things we’ve done. In 2007, Trout Fishing in America played concerts in 18 states (and Washington DC). The states include: AR, AZ, CA, CO, KS, LA, MA, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TX, VA, WA, (and don’t forget Washington DC). In February, we took our families to CA for the Grammy Awards where our CD, My Best Day, was nominated (but didn’t win).. However, in April, it did win Album of the Year at the Northwest AR Music Awards! September marked the release of our latest CD, Who Knows What We Might Do. It was originally intended only for Internet download, but many in our fan base couldn’t figure out how to do that. So we put it on a CD. Our trusty Chevy van, Stretch, topped the 300,000 mile level. We should mention that our previous trusty transportation, Robert Red Ford, hauled us around for over half a million miles so it’s been hard to mention mileage on Stretch until now. There was no way of knowing how well he’d do but 300,000 miles is starting to feel like a good run.

In January, Keith and Ezra will be joining Connie Mims and Craig Calvert for a brief Wheatfield mini-reunion tour. If you are interested in the dates, please check out the Wheatfield website at http://m1e.net/c?9994605-1W48XVIqZ3jIw%402934817-9g3THpyWfRVAs

Don’t forget that the sale on Trout stuff will be on until December 9th. We are offering a 15% discount on all orders for Trout products (with the exception of downloads, which are cheap enough already). Insert the discount code Trout15 in step 3 of the Checkout on the website or call us toll free at 888-HEY-TFIA (439-8342).

Thank you for a great 2007! We hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy 2008!

Troutfully yours,

Keith and Ezra
